The Full Story

Allan Jay, is a dynamic multi Award winning Scottish vocalist and has been a constant feature in the world of Dance music on the LGBT music scene. He has went on to work and release singles through Digital Room Records (Austria) , Energise Records (UK), Pumpin UK (UK) , Sobel Nation Records (USA), DMN Records (Germany). Most recently working with American Label Moore Music. 

 

His music credits include

 

● "Entertainer of the Year" - Proud Scotland awards 2023 

●"Best LGBTQ vocalist" In both 2019 & 2020 in Gten Media Awards

●"Best Music Artist" 2021 Gten Media Awards 

●"Best Artist's" in the LGBTQ Music Awards 2016 for his duet with 90s Legend ROZALLA. 

●"Best Male Artist" in the reloaded music awards 2015

● Finalist "Entertainer of the year" Icon Awards 2015

 

Allan originally trained and working in Musical Theatre before making the break into the music industry 

 

He has performed across the world from the UK to Asia , Europe and America Supporting such acts as Venga Boys , Shane Ward , Lucy Spraggen , Whigfield, Blue, S club , Gareth Gates , Kerry Katona, Ntrance, Conchita Wurst, Robin S and Sinitta at many prides, festivals and events.

 

He has gained chart success across many international charts with the original release of "Almost in Heaven"  reaching no3 in the North American Dance Charts as well as being top 20 here in the UK itunes electronic chart. 

 

Not the first time Allan has enjoyed chart success, he has various singles which have charted across the world including ‘Breaking my Heart’ reaching no8 on the Itunes Electronic Album Chart and no2 on the DJ Strong Dance music Chart.

 

Nov 2016 saw Allan show a different aspect to his voice as he released a heart felt ballad ‘The Best is yet to come’ in honor of his mum who he sadly lost in 2015. Its release raised money for Cruse Bereavement UK. The song originally written for the late Cilla Black written by Lewis Greenslade and Jason Prince saw Allan reach no2 on the Itunes UK Vocal Chart and showing that he is not just a dance artist and can deliver a powerful and emotional vocal performance.

 

Previous success includes ‘I go to pieces’ reaching as high as number 3 on the Italo NRG top 40 Chart and reaching number 4 in the Eurodancehits Chart. Following that success Allan recorded ‘Boom Boom Boom’ a cover of the 1980’s track by Paul Lukakis which reached No6 in the DJ Strong Dance chart and no9 in the EuroDancehits Chart. 

 

In 2019 he worked with Clothing Brand Molly and Tommy. His hit single "Almost in Heaven was re released as part of their underwear campaign and reached top 10 in both the Best Dance Anthem Chart and Euphoria UK Chart also entered the German Dance 100 at no58.

Almost in heaven was written and produced by renowned producer Jason Havendand and house vocalist Soraya Vivian.

Other success with DMN Records includes "Work Ya Love" which reached as high as no3 on the LGBT music chart, no27 on the UK Itunes dance album chart and No 14 in the Switzerland Dance Albums chart and produced by the same team behind Almost in Heaven.

 

Allan first no1 came with a cover of "Gotta get thru this" where he was featured on the Rob Moore remix released through Moore Music LLC. It reached the top spot no1 on the DRT Global top 150 independent artists airplay chart. A huge achievement for an independent artist.
